With the Chicago Bears likely thinking about next season, it’s not much of a surprise to see them thinking about moving on from some of their players.
Notably, NFL insider Benjamin Allbright reports that CB Jaylon Johnson could be on the trading block, as the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, and Dallas Cowboys have all shown an interest in him, via Dov Kleiman.
Report: The #Cowboys, #49ers and #Bills have interest in trading for starting #Bears CB Jaylon Johnson, per @AllbrightNFL
The 49ers reportedly want to add a pass-rusher and cornerback by the deadline.

The No. 50 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, he’s rapidly become one of the best defensive backs in the game.
He’s reportedly looking to get a new contract, and while the Bears could still try and keep him for years to come, perhaps it would be wiser for them to flip his contract into a valuable draft pick, especially considering he could simply walk away as a free agent in the offseason.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones claimed that the team would be active in trade talks, so they’re most definitely a team to keep an eye on here.
Former Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore has fared quite well, and DaRon Bland has been solid while subbing in for the injured Trevon Diggs, but they could still use another boost.
They were reportedly in the mix for Broncos star Patrick Surtain II, but with Denver surging and looking to salvage their season, as well as the steep return it could take to lure a player like him, perhaps Johnson is a more realistic target for Jones and company.
The Cowboys still need to prove themselves against the best teams in the league, and this is the kind of pickup that could take them to a whole new level.
