It didn’t take long for the Chicago Bears to shake the faith of the New England Patriots with their starting QB.
While Mac Jones made his return, it was Bailey Zappe who finished the game.
Jones had an awful start to the game, which the Patriots needed to win.
However, with the mistakes made by Jones early, it was time for Zappe fever.
So what mistakes was Jones committing and will Zappe now be the starting QB for the Patriots this season?
Interception And Poor Play Get Jones Pulled
Mac Jones couldn’t get the Patriots offense going in his return game.
With only three completions for 13 yards, something needed to change.
However, it was an amazing interception by Jaquan Brisker that got Jones benched.

From there, Patriots fans were catching Zappe fever.
Zappe Starts With Two Scoring Drives
After handing the ball to Zappe, he and the Patriots’ offense got to work.
They had two consecutive drives that led to touchdowns, thanks to Zappe.
He was making the Bears defense look horrible, as he was exposing holes in the zone coverage.
Even man-to-man wasn’t working against Zappe’s magic.
However, the Bears had a cure for the Zappe fever.
