Today is Trevor Bauer’s 32nd birthday.
The embattled right-hander was recently designated for assignment and later released by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers will now eat the remaining $22.5 million on his contract.
Bauer has certainly been the center of controversy ever since sexual assault allegations surfaced and put his career on hold.
As a result, many around the game have lost respect for the former Cy Young.
It also appears that Baseball Reference, the leading baseball website for stats, scores, and history, has chosen not to acknowledge today as Bauer’s birthday.
However, it is also former MLB pitcher Rob Bell’s birthday, and Baseball Reference did make sure to acknowledge his big day, as seen in the tweet below.
Today is Trevor Bauer's birthday, but his @baseball_ref page does NOT wish him Happy Birthday, as it does with all other players on their birthday. (See, for example, Rob Bell's page below–also his birthday today.) pic.twitter.com/oCJLAVJ5L1

It’s quite evident that Bauer may in fact be falling off the face of the Earth.
It appears unlikely that any team will take a chance on him and sign him for the league minimum.
There have been no reports of any teams that are interested in the veteran right-hander, and this could mean the end of his MLB career.
But Baseball Reference took it a step further today by not even acknowledging his birthday, but still recognizing today as Bell’s birthday.
The 32-year-old came up in 2012 with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
He joined the Cleveland Indians in 2014 and was with the team until being traded to the Cincinnati Reds at the deadline in 2019.
Bauer signed with the Dodgers prior to the 2021 season, but had his tenure with the team cut short.
