Don’t look now, but Bryce Young might be an NFL starter.
The Carolina Panthers QB has looked much better and more comfortable since reclaiming his starting spot.
The Panthers benched him in favor of Andy Dalton earlier in the season.
That led to speculation about his future with the organization, with other teams reportedly inquiring about his availability, as it seemed like they were giving up on him.
Now, he’s led his team to close losses against the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and while the Panthers have lost both of those games, taking those teams down to the wire has been remarkable.
That’s why, after the win, Bucs QB Baker Myafield wanted to give his colleague his flowers, letting the world know that he can absolutely be a successful quarterback in the National Football League (via The 33rd Team).
“This guy has the potential to do anything he wants to do.”

Young finished the game with 298 yards and one passing touchdown.
He also ran for another score.
He’s never going to be the most physically imposing specimen, but he’s been way better at reading opposing defenses, picking his spots, and going through his progressions.
Young took the benching with his head up.
He was a good teammate and even rooted for Dalton.
In his second opportunity, he’s proving that it’s never wise to count out a young quarterback after such a short time.
Also, Dave Canales deserves a lot of credit for uplifting him and potentially salvaging his career.
