The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have officially moved on from Tom Brady after his retirement.
While it’s not easy to move on from a future Hall of Famer, the Buccaneers now turn to the 2023 regular season with a new quarterback.
Many believe it is Baker Mayfield’s job to lose, given the amount of NFL experience he has under his belt.
Mayfield was recently asked about his new team, as reporters from The Athletic wanted his thoughts on replacing Brady.
In a quote via PFF and The Athletic, Mayfield said, “I’m not built like him.”
Baker kept it real about replacing Tom Brady 😅

Mayfield is a different kind of athlete than Brady and has a lot of catching up to do on his career numbers.
While this response is humorous, he has a long road ahead to keep the starting role.
Kyle Trask, a former second-round pick, is behind him on the depth chart.
Mayfield was once a No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick but hasn’t performed to the potential placed upon him in the pre-draft process.
His leash might be short this season, given Trask’s presence on the roster.
The Buccaneers will look to make a splash in the NFC South, a division that has seen significant turnover lately.
Mayfield is among the most experienced quarterbacks in the division.
Will his experience be enough to bring him back into the conversation as a full-time starter for the Buccaneers?
The Buccaneers might just be using him as a bridge to another future quarterback unless he proves them wrong.
