The Houston Astros certainly had a night to remember on Tuesday.
Left-hander Framber Valdez took the mound for the defending World Series champions and tossed a no-hitter against the Cleveland Guardians.
Valdez walked just one batter and struck out seven, with the one walk accounting for his only baserunner of the night.
This came hours after Houston had re-acquired ace and postseason hero Justin Verlander.
But the Astros are currently leading the rest of Major League Baseball in an elite category.
According to MLB Stats, the Astros have thrown the most no-hitters of any team in baseball since the start of the 1962 season.

This includes both regular season and postseason games.
Also on the list are teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and San Francisco Giants.
The Dodgers and Angels are second and third on the list with 13 and 12 no-hitters, respectively, while the Cubs, White Sox, Phillies, and Giants are tied for fourth on the list with nine.
But it’s the Astros who are at the top of the heap.
Houston has seen more than its fair share of no-hitters over the years, and Tuesday night was yet another great chapter in the history of Astros baseball as it pertains to such performances.
The recently returned Verlander threw a no-hitter for the Astros back on September 1, 2019 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Houston also threw a combined no-hitter in Game 4 of the World Series last year against the Philadelphia Phillies.
