The Las Vegas Raiders appear to be a team rejuvenated after the team parted ways with unpopular head coach Josh McDaniels on Halloween, leading to an impressive win over the lowly New York Giants last week with rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell leading the way under center and interim head coach Antonio Pierce calling the shots on the sideline.
With the regime change, the Raiders have decided to bench veteran Jimmy Garoppolo for the rest of the 2023 NFL season and go with the rookie as their starter moving forward, as it seems he’s the better fit right now.
Along with having the support of his teammates and an endorsement from superstar wide receiver Davante Adams, O’Connell and Pierce are already on the same page.
Pierce hilariously says that he and O’Connell are “BFFs,” even though he still calls him by his No. 4 rather than his name because he’s still a rookie via Sunday Night Football on NBC.

With everyone seemingly on the same page in Las Vegas, it’ll be interesting to see what the rest of the season looks like for the Silver and Black, as a run at the NFL playoffs isn’t out of the question, with the team sporting a record of 4-5.
Obviously, a lot will have to go the Raiders’ way in order to punch their ticket to the playoffs, but it seems like the chemistry and camaraderie is there, which has to make longtime team owner Mark Davis happy after spending so much money to push McDaniels out.
