New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo is one of the most successful and accomplished major league players in activity at the moment.
He has won Gold Gloves, he has gone to All-Star Games, and he lifted a World Series championship, among other things.
But his work outside of the diamond may be his most impactful contribution.
Through Rizzo’s foundation, he promotes awareness and raises funds to help pediatric cancer patients.
He has been doing it for a while, ever since he was a member of the Chicago Cubs, and it’s something that clearly fulfills him and gives him happiness.
We are sure the children he visits and helps are even more happy to see him in person.
“No matter what pinstripes @ARizzo44 wears, @LurieChildrens will always be home. We were so excited to get back to in person hospital visits and meet with the children and see all the faces we have missed so much!,” the Anthony Rizzo foundation tweeted.

Spreading Joy
He is seen sharing some touching moments with the children and their families, giving them some presents, jerseys, balls, and Yankees hats.
People may not have an idea how much these young kids enjoy seeing, talking, and hugging one of their idols, a person who happens to be helping with their expenses and raising funds for their treatment.
The Rizzo foundation is one of the best player initiatives to help off the field.
We certainly hope to see Rizzo involved with it for years to come, and other players helping in a similar way.
One of the joys of being a major leaguer is sharing the passion for life and for the game around the youngest ones.
