Many NBA fans have been given the opportunity to watch their favorite players compete this offseason.
That is because the FIBA Basketball World Cup is underway and full of NBA players representing their countries.
One team that everyone is watching is Team USA.
They are the most talented roster but still need time to build chemistry.
What many people were wondering heading into the World Cup is what player would emerge as the go-to guy.
It appears that is Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards.
He has emerged as their leading scorer averaging 16.5 points per game.
Edwards shared a tweet about all the work he has been putting in this offseason.
“Work til I get it,” he tweeted.

Last season, Edwards made his first All-Star team and demonstrated the ability to be an elite scorer.
He has increased his points per game in each season of his career.
Also, Edwards is only 22 years old.
It is impressive to see all the success he has had at such a young age.
The Timberwolves have a bright future ahead of them with Edwards in the fold.
Last season they made the playoffs but lost in the first round to the Denver Nuggets.
Better things are expected from the Wolves in 2023-24.
Not only has Edwards improved his points per game each year but also his shooting percentages.
His field goal percentage and three-point percentage each saw increases.
Even with him taking more shots per game, he can remain efficient.
Edwards is one of the most impressive young players in the NBA.
