NBA fans recently witnessed the clash of the Titans in the Western Conference in the form of an excellent matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Both teams have been incredibly successful during the 2023-24 NBA season and remain two of the best teams in the Western Conference.
As expected, the battle between the two sides was an amazing sight for fans, and it was the Oklahoma City Thunder that registered a close yet important 102-97 win in the game, thanks to the brilliance of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
On the other hand, Anthony Edwards had a rather quiet game by his standards and the former number one overall pick talked about slowing down the Thunder in the postgame interview via Chris Hine on Twitter.
“It’s hard to with the calls that Shai gets. It’s hard to shut them down. You can’t touch him any time of the game,” Edwards said.
Asked Anthony Edwards what's the key to slowing down OKC: "It’s hard to with the calls that Shai gets. It’s hard to shut them down. You can’t touch him any time of the game. It’s super hard to beat. That team is a good team, especially when they’re getting calls like that."

Edwards pointed out that apart from being an extremely talented team, the Thunder managed to get most of the foul calls.
The 22-year-old superstar believes it’s especially hard to shut down the Thunder when the opposing team seemingly cannot touch Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for most of the game.
Well, to put things into perspective, Gilgeous-Alexander finished the game with 33 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assists to his name.
His performance included him earning 13 trips to the free-throw line while converting 12 of those opportunities.
Keeping that in mind, it’s only obvious that Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves were frustrated with Gilgeous-Alexander getting superstar calls throughout the game.
After the battle, the Thunder are now the second seed in the Western Conference with a 29-13 record this season.
