After a very busy week, all eyes were on the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night.
That’s because it featured the first game with newly-acquired stars, who came to the team after multiple trades at the NBA deadline on Thursday.
Saturday’s game featured D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Malik Beasley for the first time.
And things went really well, with the Lakers beating the Golden State Warriors, 109-103.
Following the game, Lakers icon Anthony Davis talked about the new chemistry and synergy on the court.
Anthony Davis: "Me and D-Lo literally talked the entire game about pick-and-roll, what he like, what I like…build that chemistry on the fly."

“Me and D-Lo literally talked the entire game about pick-and-roll, what he likes, what I like…build that chemistry on the fly,” Davis said.
Based on what was seen on Saturday night, it looks like Davis, Russell, and the rest of the new crew are going to work well together.
The trades pursued by the Lakers last week help the team in multiple ways.
Russell and Beasley are going to greatly improve the backcourt while Vanderbilt and newcomer Mo Bamba will enhance and strengthen the frontcourt.
And all of them will revolve around Davis, who is still seen as the future of the storied franchise.
Their first game together was a success and that is a reason to be excited.
But fans are still waiting to find out how this new lineup works alongside LeBron James, but they might have to wait some time.
James has missed the last two games due to a nagging foot injury and could be out for at least a few more matches.
That means LA’s latest acquisitions will have to find their footing without their biggest and most impactful teammate.
Next up for the Lakers are the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Warriors again.
Will they claim a few more victories?
