A lot of people were talking about Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday morning.
That is because Davis performed poorly for his team on Wednesday night, scoring only 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist in a painful loss to the Sacramento Kings.
There were many things to pick apart about Davis’ game, including the fact that Davis is now 0-8 against Sacramento big man Domantas Sabonis, according to Ball Don’t Lie.

Sabonis was the opposite of Davis during Wednesday’s game, scoring 29 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 assists.
He also acquired 3 steals and 1 block too.
So far this season, Sabonis has averaged 19.1 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.
As for Davis, he is putting up 22.1 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
Davis can go toe-to-toe against many talented power forwards and centers in the league, such as reigning Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Memphis Grizzlies.
On Tuesday night, Davis held Jackson to just 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.
But for whatever reason, Sabonis has found a way to get under Davis’ skin.
Sabonis has seemingly figured the eight-time All-Star out and knows exactly what to do to shut him down repeatedly.
If the Lakers wish to climb to the top of the Western Conference standings, Davis will need to find a way to combat and overcome Sabonis because the Sacramento Kings are now one of the best teams in the conference.
Last season, the Lakers avoided the Kings in the playoffs because the Golden State Warriors took them out in the opening round.
What would have happened if the Lakers faced the Kings?
Would Davis’ inability to move past Sabonis have prevented them from reaching the Western Conference Finals?
