Well, it took 14 games to figure it out, but the Los Angeles Angels have finally ended their losing streak.
A 5-2 win over the Boston Red Sox got them back in the win column and allowed them to gain a game on Boston in the American League Wild Card race.
With win No. 28 on the year, they sit 2.5 games behind the Sox.
But for the Angels, it felt like more than just an ordinary win.
A weight was lifted off of everybody’s shoulders.
Utilityman Andrew Velazquez commented on the team’s win, describing the feeling as something similar to winning a playoff game, as seen in the tweet below.
Andrew Velazquez on the postgame celebration: "It felt like we won a playoff game tonight."

The Skid Is Over
When you snap a long losing skid, a win feels like so much more than just a win.
For the team snapping the skid, it feels like a demon has been conquered.
The Angels can certainly attest to this feeling.
It had been 14 games since they had picked up a win, but finally, the skid is over.
Velazquez couldn’t have said it any better.
The fans in Anaheim were loving it and the players felt a big weight lifted off of their shoulders.
Baseball is a funny game.
The baseball gods do strange things.
The losing skid almost felt as if it were eternal, but the Angels finally came out and put an end to it.
It has to feel good for the Halos to have finally put a stop to this.
It was a long and arduous journey, but it’s over.
The Angels are back in the win column, and the win feels much bigger than just an ordinary win.
We’ll see if the Angels can turn things the other way and go on a winning streak.
