In the marquee matchup of NFL Week 7, the Kansas City Chiefs will be traveling to face the San Francisco 49ers in a Super Bowl rematch.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid recently spoke about the challenge of going up against 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.
“I think he’s a heck of a player. I remember their head coach at Iowa State saying, ‘This guy has changed the program around,’ and when you make a statement like that, that’s bold,” Reid said, via Coach Yac. “We all see why he said it. He was right on with that. This kid is a heck of a football player.”

It is clear that there is a real respect for Purdy from Reid and the Chiefs.
The last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft has helped San Francisco to back-to-back NFC Championship Game appearances, along with a Super Bowl appearance last season, an overtime loss to Kansas City.
In his first full season, he recorded 4,280 passing yards and 31 touchdowns, and led the league with a 113.0 passer rating.
However, this season, the 49ers are off to a disappointing 3-3 start and are looking to show that they are the same dominant team of the last half-decade.
There is no question Purdy is going to play a vital role if San Francisco is going to get back to the Super Bowl.
Getting another chance to knock off Patrick Mahomes will be a big test for Purdy and his teammates.
