The Kansas City Chiefs are knocking on the doorstep of history as they’re set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
While the matchup is full of intrigue, given that it’s a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, the Chiefs are also on the verge of becoming the first team to three-peat as Super Bowl champions.
The NFL’s main appeal to fans is the parity it showcases, but Kansas City has seemed like a certainty in recent years.
Patrick Mahomes is arguably the best quarterback in the league and always seems to find a way to win in the postseason, though head coach Andy Reid deserves just as much credit.
Reid is the mastermind behind the league’s latest dynasty and is on pace to break several head coaching records.
Analyst Mike Golic said he believes Reid will end up passing former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick for all-time playoff wins.
“Andy Reid, not Bill Belichick, Andy Reid is going to end up the all-time [winner] of playoff games. … I think he’ll pass him in postseason wins and pass Don Shula in wins,” Golic said on the “Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz.”

As of now, Belichick has 31 playoff wins to Reid’s 28.
However, as Golic points out, Reid could be in position to surpass Belichick as soon as next season.
With Belichick coaching in college, no one can compete with Reid as he continues his ascent up the NFL coaching pantheon.
Another Super Bowl win would cement Reid’s case as one of the best NFL head coaches of all time, and it won’t be long before he threatens Shula’s records for regular season and overall wins.
