The Kansas City Chiefs offense should remain one of the best in the NFL during the 2023 season so long as they have Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce out on the field.
Mahomes and Kelce are the best offensive duo in the league and their partnership has produced two Super Bowl championships.
However, the Chiefs are hoping some of their wide receivers take a leap as Mahomes can’t throw to Kelce every single play.
Kansas City has promising young wideouts in Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice, and Jusytn Ross but the leader of the group is projected to be Kadarius Toney.
The Chiefs were able to swing a deal for Toney in 2022 and the receiver showed how dangerous he can be in the open field as soon as he has the football in his hands.
Toney has been dealing with a lingering knee injury for most of training camp and preseason, but Andy Reid said that as of right now he will be ready for Week 1 against the Detroit Lion via Nate Taylor of The Athletic.
“Right now, he’s good to go,” Reid said. “He’s moving around pretty well. We’ll take it day by day.”

This is obviously great news for Kansas City as Toney is arguably their most dynamic weapon.
The former New York Giant is a capable receiver running routes, but he’s also got the movement and agility to run the football as well.
That kind of versatility only makes the Chiefs offense more dangerous and it’ll be exciting to see him back out there next Thursday.
