The Carolina Panthers are going with quarterback Bryce Young for the second consecutive week as the starter.
Veteran Andy Dalton, who was the starter until he got injured in a car accident a couple of weeks ago, spoke with the Carolina media about his feelings on the matter.
“I let (Dave Canales) know my thoughts and how I felt. He made his decision and that’s his job,” Dalton said Thursday.

Dalton is a true veteran.
Of course, he wanted to play, but he knew that all he could do was express his thoughts and let head coach Dave Canales make his decision.
As he has done for the last half-decade now, Dalton has been a steady voice of leadership for each team that he has been on.
He has helped bring young quarterbacks along and is going to continue doing that in Carolina late into the regular season.
The 37-year-old clearly still has that desire to succeed as a starter in the NFL, but his time as a consistent starter might be over.
A former three-time Pro Bowl signal-caller in Cincinnati, Dalton has had a nice career and will continue to help the Panthers find their way forward on offense.
Up next for the Panthers on their schedule is the arch-rival New Orleans Saints this Sunday.
If Bryce Young, who has already been replaced by Dalton once this year, starts to struggle, it could be Dalton’s show again.
