The Indianapolis Colts had reportedly set a deadline to trade Jonathan Taylor — or not.
They would allegedly wait until Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. to find a trade suitor, meaning the clock is running out.
However, NFL analyst Craig Carton believes they could be bluffing, stating that they could simply push that deadline to next week.
Carton believes that if there are multiple teams keeping tabs on him, as rumored, then all they need to do is to get him off the PUP list and move on.
Jonathan Taylor to the Kansas City Chiefs?? ?

And while the Miami Dolphins — who have reportedly offered a second and fifth-round pick to get Taylor — and the Buffalo Bills make perfect sense as potential destinations, Carton believes the Kansas City Chiefs should make a move for him as well.
Carton argues that the Chiefs would have to give a first-round pick, which is likely to fall in the bottom three anyways, to get a franchise running back and bolster their roster even more.
Of course, this makes plenty of sense on paper, as winning teams should always look to keep up adding superstars at a discount.
Also, even if Isiah Pacheco is coming off an impressive rookie season, he’s still an unproven player who’s coming off injuries, and Taylor would be an improvement over almost every single running back in the game right now.
Even so, the Chiefs aren’t likely to make a big move and sign him to an extension before sorting things out with Chris Jones, so the chances of that happening seem quite slim at the moment.
