The San Antonio Spurs will get their hands on arguably the most sought-after prospect in the history of professional basketball: Victor Wembanyama.
The 7-foot-5 specimen out of France has drawn rave reviews for years now, and he’s on the verge of proving why every single scout on Earth is so high on him.
Wembanyama has been called the greatest prospect in NBA history, even ahead of LeBron James.
And according to NBA analyst Cory Alexander, the hype is actually real, doubling down on the assessment that he actually is a better prospect than LeBron was back in the day.

Alexander explained that being a better prospect doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll have a better career; we’re just talking about potential, not skill.
He also stated that we had already seen something similar to LeBron James, a 6-foot-8, 6-foot-9 player who could handle the basketball and initiate the offense, obviously referring to Magic Johnson.
Wembanyama, on the other hand, has a combination of size and skill that’s never been seen in the game of basketball thus far.
Never have we seen a guy so tall being able to put the ball on the floor and facilitate, not to mention his ability to score from all three levels.
Of course, there are still hundreds of things that could go wrong.
Or, on the flip side, he could go on to have a legendary career and still not make the NBA’s Mt. Rushmore.
But in terms of potential and a unique never-before-seen type of game, yes, Wembanyama is the greatest prospect ever.
