The Detroit Lions bounced back in a big way on Monday Night Football.
They desperately craved a win after being routed by the Baltimore Ravens and were lucky enough to run into a struggling and grumbling Las Vegas Raiders team.
With that in mind, Craig Carton wanted to give HC Dan Campbell his praise, via his show.
Even though Carton did say that it seemed like Campbell didn’t take the Raiders seriously at all — which is why they only beat them by 12 points — he did give him credit for making a statement and sending a message by feeding Jahmyr Gibbs the football.
Having a legitimate running attack opens up so many things for the offense, and it was about time the Lions featured their rookie running back and got him heavily involved in the game.
"Credit to Dan Campbell, he's doing a hell of a job. I wouldn't be surprised if he were Coach of the Year."

Carton and his panelists all agreed that Campbell has been instrumental in the Lions’ change of culture, and they wouldn’t be shocked if he ended the season with the Coach of the Year award under his belt.
The Lions have been a polarizing subject among NFL circles this season.
It’s evident that they’re no longer a bottom-feeding squad, and they have plenty of talent at every position, even if they don’t feature a bunch of marquee names.
However, some still need to see them get the job done against contending teams, even though they already beat the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on the road this season.
Are they for real?
Only time — and how they fare in the playoffs — will tell.
