At this same point last year, the New York Jets were thinking about a Super Bowl parade.
Trading for Aaron Rodgers made them a legitimate contender, and it seemed like they could put together something special.
Rodgers tore his Achilles four plays into the season, and they didn’t pivot or do anything to get over that.
Now, they won’t have the benefit of the doubt anymore.
HC Robert Saleh is well aware of that, and he’s made it loud and clear that the team will go all-in and be uber-aggressive in their pursuit of success in 2024.
That’s why NFL analyst — and well-known Jets fan — Craig Carton believes there is no tomorrow for this team.
Talking on the latest edition of The Carton Show, Carton stated that it’s absolutely playoffs-or-bust for the Jets, adding that Saleh should be on his way out if they don’t reach the postseason.
“Anything short of making the postseason, buh-bye, you gots to go. It’s playoffs or bust,” Carton said.

That’s a fair statement, and he wouldn’t be the only one without a job.
The Jets would also most likely move on from GM Joe Douglas, and even OC Nathaniel Hackett could also find himself unemployed.
This team has knocked on the door of a postseason berth for quite a while.
They’ve ridden their defense, but poor quarterback play has set them back over and over.
With that in mind, there will be no more room or time for excuses in 2024, as they have one of the greatest quarterbacks this game has ever seen, as well as a very dependable backup in case something goes wrong.
