The New York Jets traded for Haason Reddick, but he has yet to report to the team.
They need him out there to replace Bryce Huff, and any team would benefit from having a player like him on the field.
However, he refuses to play without a new contract, and given the way he’s dealt with this entire situation, the team is refusing to engage in negotiations with him.
Things have reached a point in which he’s pretty much losing hundreds of thousands of dollars by not showing up to games, and that’s money that’s not coming back.
With that in mind, Andrew Brandt, who used to be an agent, claimed that he just can’t figure out what Reddick is trying to do here.
Talking on the Ross Tucker Podcast, he claimed that there was just no way he would advise a client to lose $800,000 a week.

Granted, Reddick should’ve gotten a new contract, but this is no way to get a deal done.
Negotiations must be done in good faith, and he reportedly let the Jets know that he would play for them if they traded for him.
Otherwise, the Jets wouldn’t have even traded for him in the first place.
This doesn’t seem to be about money at this point.
There’s no end in sight for this holdout, and if the Jets didn’t cave in after their season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers, their chances of them caving into his demands seem to get smaller by the week.
