The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a heartbreaking season.
They had the best record in the league at one point, boasting a 10-1 record and becoming the first team to reach double-digit wins.
Then, they plummeted late in the campaign, up to the point where they let the division slip right through their fingers, being forced to take the road in the playoffs.
Nick Sirianni weathered the storm and survived the rumors.
He also revamped his coaching staff with some big-time hires, and even though they’ve lost the best center in the game, they’re still expected to be one of the strongest teams in the league next season.
However, they’re not going to leave anything to chance.
According to NFL insider Michael Lombardi, they’re going to be a serious player for Saquon Barkley.
Wasn't sure it was true, because Philadelphia never spends money on running backs. But their interest in Barkley is real–and at noon today, when tampering begins, they will be a serious player. As Big Daddy likes to say, we'll see.

He adds that they rarely spend any money on running backs, but their interest in the Penn State product is real right now.
Signing Barkley would make a lot of sense for both parties.
Barkley would get a chance to get back at the New York Giants two times a year.
Also, with D’Andre Swift set to leave, they have a big opening at running back.
Barkley has been one of the most efficient and productive backs in the game since he entered the league, and he could be playing behind an elite offensive line now.
Injury concerns will always be there, but this is the kind of risk you take every time.
