The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
Patrick Mahomes restructured his contract to clear almost $22 million in cap space, which will obviously help them in that pursuit.
Star CB L’Jarius Sneed seemed to backpedal on his desire to be traded, stating that he wants to stay in Kansas City, and they’ve already brought Chris Jones back, so their stellar defense should be as good, if not better, in 2024.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Craig Carton urged them to go after WR Calvin Ridley.
Talking on The Carton Show, he claimed that this would be a no-brainer move for both parties.
“The key guy to me, specifically, is Calvin Ridley,” Carton said.

He said that this is where Ridley should want to be, and that he’s the guy that Mahomes should be pushing the Chiefs to go after.
Ridley would give the Chiefs the deep-play threat they’ve lacked since Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins, not to mention a reliable pair of hands in the passing game.
The Chiefs relied heavily on rookie WR Rashee Rice late in the season, and Travis Kelce continued to be a focal part of their offense, but they clearly lacked talent and depth at the wide receiver position.
Ridley is one of the most underrated and productive wide receivers in the game, and playing with a guy of Mahomes’ caliber would take his game to a whole new level, so the Chiefs need to get on the phone and get a deal done as soon as possible.
