Many people have been blown away by Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics this season.
While everyone agrees that he is playing incredible basketball, some go beyond that and claim he is having the best stretch of his entire career.
That’s what Chris Forsberg said, via NBC Sports Boston.
Forsberg stated that Brown is currently in the midst of the best period of the best season of his entire career.
The numbers back up Forsberg’s statement.
He is recording 23.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game in 2023-24 but he’s reached a whole other level lately.
Over his last nine games, Brown has stepped up his totals to 29.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.
During that time, the Celtics have gone 7-2 against opponents like the New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, and others.
The explosive output of Brown this season and especially during these last several weeks is one of the reasons why so many people think they could go all the way to the Finals this year.
The team is able to stay strong even when Jayson Tatum isn’t at the top of his game because others like Brown are doing such incredible things.
And when the one-two punch of Tatum and Brown are working well individually and collectively, the team looks nearly impossible to stop.
The challenge for Brown is to keep playing like this over the next few weeks and into the playoffs.
Although he has been consistent throughout the majority of this season, he could put the Celtics in a tough spot if he falls back into old habits.
If Brown wants the Celtics to win their first title in years, he will have to keep playing lights-out basketball for the next several months.
