The Tampa Bay Buccaneers want to bring Baker Mayfield back, and rightfully so.
He made the most of the chance they gave him to salvage his career, having a very successful season and leading them to their third consecutive NFC South Division title.
Most analysts thought it was just a matter of time before both parties agreed to continue their partnership and sign a new deal in free agency.
However, now that the Denver Broncos announced that they would release Russell Wilson, the Bucs might not be the only bidder for Mayfield’s services.
Talking on The Carton Show, NFL analyst Craig Carton stated that Mayfield should seriously consider taking his talents to Mile High.

He stated that Mayfield’s agent should put the Buccaneers on hold, either to try to squeeze more money out of them or to consider the Broncos.
He argues that the Broncos are in a better position to compete at a high level right now, adding that Mayfield might be perfectly suited to run Sean Payton’s offense.
Mayfield has proven that he belongs in the league, and he was efficient and aggressive in his lone season under Dave Canales’ offense.
Of course, the Bucs will most likely be very aggressive in their pursuit of him, especially now that they’ve also secured WR Mike Evans for the next couple of years.
Then again, if the Broncos show a legitimate interest in the former No .1 pick, it could be an easy decision for him.
