When news broke of the New York Jets’ interest in Aaron Rodgers, some fans and analysts voiced their concerns about his ability to deal with NYC media.
It’s not a secret that sports media in the Big Apple is ruthless, and Rodgers hasn’t always dealt well with that kind of scrutiny.
Several scandals involving his family and personal life, his recent interest in ayahuasca and alternative therapies, and whatnot made Rodgers a bit of a pariah in the eyes of some fans and members of the media.
That’s why sports analyst Craig Carton praised him for being able to shift the entire narrative around him since he arrived in Gotham, stating that there hasn’t been a single report about him regarding anything else beyond football and how good he’s been with the young guys and his new teammates.
"In the last 2 months, there's not been a single story about darkness retreats, ayahuasca or his dating life. Aaron Rodgers has changed the ENTIRE narrative." — @craigcartonlive pic.twitter.com/ZCN1KZUEv5

Rodgers had often gone to great lengths to defy the media, and he didn’t look happy during his final couple of years in Green Bay.
Perhaps all he needed was a change of scenery to be the best version of himself again, and he’s raved about how thrilled he is for playing for the Jets.
It’s crazy how fast the narrative can change, and he was often portrayed as the bad guy during his power struggle with the Packers’ front office.
But more than that, it’s nice to know that for the first time in quite a while, it seems like Rodgers is focused on one thing and one thing only, and that’s winning football games.
