The Juan Soto sweepstakes ended with a splash as the top free agent signed a massive 15-year contract worth $765 million with the New York Mets.
Now that the Soto decision has been made, it opens the door for other teams to start trying to sign the other big-name free-agent players.
One of those free agents is World Series champion outfielder Teoscar Hernandez of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
MLB Analyst Jon Morosi named two teams who he believes are in a good position to sign Hernandez.
“Whether it happens today or later on in the week, the Dodgers or Boston Red Sox are in good position to sign Hernandez,” Morosi said via MLB Network on ‘X.’

Hernandez came into the league in 2016 with the Houston Astros and has played for four different MLB teams in his nine-year career thus far.
In 2024 with the Dodgers, Hernandez played 154 games and batted .272 with 33 home runs, 99 RBIs, and a .840 OPS.
The 32-year-old outfielder from the Dominican Republic had a career-high in home runs in 2024 and also won the Home Run Derby.
Morosi mentions the Red Sox as a good fit for Hernandez due to his excellent numbers at Fenway Park in his career.
Fenway is well known for the green monster in left field, and the team is likely targeting a right-handed power hitter to add to their lineup in 2025.
Now that the Soto deal is out of the way, it is likely that many of the other free agents begin to sign with teams who were waiting on the conclusion of the Soto sweepstakes.
