One team in the NFC that surprised a lot of people last season was the New York Giants.
The Giants haven’t really been a relevant football team in the NFL since the championship years with Eli Manning under center for the storied franchise, and even then, the team had its fair share of struggles.
However, bringing in Brian Daboll to be the team’s new head coach turned out to be a game-changer for New York as the Giants bought into what he was selling and, as a result, became a force to be reckoned with on the field.
New York played in one of the toughest divisions in the league and was still able to clinch a playoff spot with a 9-7 record, finishing ahead of the last-place Washington Commanders (8-8-1) in the NFC East.
The Giants went on to upset the Minnesota Vikings in the playoffs but fell short against the Philadelphia Eagles in the next round.
Now the question is how this team can get better, and ESPN’s Bill Barnwell believes the team should trade for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins via NFL on ESPN.
"Daniel Jones is making a lot of money, kind of feels like he's gonna be the focal point of your offense. And if you have that money to spend on a playmaker maybe you spend it on a WR like perhaps DeAndre Hopkins."

Currently, there’s no telling whether Hopkins will be moved before the start of the 2023 NFL season, with the Arizona Cardinals potentially holding onto the five-time All-Pro wide receiver.
Even Hopkins sent out a video recently acting like he never wanted out of Arizona, but that may be due to him not being able to land where he wants to in a trade.
Regardless of the situation in Arizona, the Giants landing Hopkins in a deal would potentially be a step in the right direction with another weapon for Daniel Jones in the passing game.
