The Philadelphia Eagles were projected to be the strongest team in the NFC, and they had the best record in the league at 10-1 at one point.
Then, people started talking about Nick Sirianni’s job being in jeopardy, as he made some questionable decisions with his coaching staff in the midst of a late-season slump.
Jalen Hurts also got plenty of the blame.
Even though he was clearly hurt and wasn’t as efficient as a scrambler, some analysts were brutal to him.
That’s why former NFL OL Ross Tucker went out of his way in the latest edition of his podcast to put Hurts’ critics on blast.
“This Jalen Hurts Hurts conversation has gotten out of control. I’m sick of the discussion around Jalen Hurts,” Tucker said.
The Jalen Hurts conversation has gotten ridiculous.

He talked about how recency bias has hurt his stock in the league lately, with some analysts having him as No. 14 or No. 17 in their quarterback rankings ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Tucker talked about how Hurts was an MVP candidate two years ago and then the leading candidate until November last season.
He also thinks it doesn’t make sense that some people started questioning his leadership, mostly because they don’t even know what happens behind closed doors.
Hurts had a down year, and it was disappointing after he signed such a massive contract.
However, he’s still one of the best young quarterbacks in the game, and a down year shouldn’t make him fall that far below in the rankings, especially considering he was hurt and poorly coached for half of the season.
Hopefully, he’ll come back stronger and healthier and will prove the doubters wrong in 2024.
