The San Francisco 49ers have been perennial Super Bowl contenders, yet it seems like they always fall short of the ultimate goal.
However, GM John Lynch has still done an outstanding job of stacking that roster with as much talent as possible on both ends of the field, especially on the offense.
That’s why NFL analyst Craig Carton believes it doesn’t matter who’s their starting quarterback, as whoever’s getting the football is going to have a “rockstar” wherever he looks on offense.
.@craigcartonlive says the San Francisco 49ers have a STACKED roster with McCaffrey, Deebo, and Aiyuk.

He raved about Christian McCaffrey out of the backfield and Deebo Samuel as both a running back and wide receiver, adding that Brandon Aiyuk has now emerged to be the best third option in the entire National Football League.
Truth be told, it’s hard to come up with a team as talented as the Niners, at least in the NFC.
But unlike what Carton says, it does matter who’s taking shots downfield, as poor QB play has been the one thing that has held this team back for ages.
They haven’t had a legit star at the position since Colin Kaepernick’s regression, and Jimmy Garoppolo got hurt when it seemed like he was poised to break out.
Hopefully, for the fans, Brock Purdy will turn out to be as good as the front office hopes he’s going to be.
If not, they still have Trey Lance, but as of now, it seems like the team kind of regrets giving that much up to get him in the first place.
