The Pittsburgh Steelers had their worst offensive performance of the season, and it wasn’t particularly close.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ suffocating defense completely shut down Arthur Smith’s offense.
That’s why NFL analyst Danny Parkins claimed that it was borderline unwatchable.
Talking on FOX Sports’ “Breakfast Ball,” Parkins pointed out that the Steelers ran the fewest plays (41) in a game this season.
The Steelers ran the fewest plays (41) this season vs. the Eagles ?

He stated they only ran eleven plays in the second half alone, adding that the Eagles completely outclassed them.
That pretty much sums it up.
You can’t score points when you don’t even have the ball.
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio put on a defensive clinic against an offense that had proven to be explosive at times.
Nick Sirianni’s team took every single deep throw away, and with George Pickens out with a hamstring injury, the Steelers didn’t have a legitimate big-play threat in the open field.
They also shut down everything they tried to do on the ground.
Then, they kept running the football down their throats, making quick throws, and keeping the clock ticking and the chains in motion.
The Steelers haven’t won a game in Philadelphia in the past six decades, as crazy as that may sound.
The Eagles look like the most balanced team in the league and the biggest threat to the Detroit Lions in the NFC.
The Steelers, on the other hand, may have been a little exposed in this tough loss.
