The San Francisco 49ers looked like the best team in the league for five weeks, but they’ve now dropped back-to-back games they were supposed to win.
The Cleveland Browns have one of the best defenses in the game, and they did have a chance to win it with a game-winning field goal.
Also, losing Trent Williams, Deebo Samuel, and Christian McCaffrey in the same game obviously forced them to make some adjustments.
As for the game vs. the Minnesota Vikings, they played catch-up all night long, even in spite of their notable absences and how much they had struggled at home this season.
That’s why former NFL star Willie Colon claimed that the team that was supposed to be the best in the league is walking backwards right now (via The Carton Show).

Anybody can beat anybody in the NFL, and the Niners have done quite a bit of traveling in back-to-back weeks.
Kirk Cousins had one of the best games of his career, and he’s having a solid season overall, but the Niners made some execution mistakes that constantly set them back, including allowing a 60+ yard touchdown on third down 16 seconds before halftime.
Brock Purdy had two crucial interceptions, but he’s not the only one to blame for their struggles.
The defense failed to make their presence felt, especially Nick Bosa, who couldn’t record a sack or make an impact against the Vikings’ suddenly revamped offensive line.
Now, they’ll look to avoid their third straight loss by facing the Cincinnati Bengals, who are fresh off a BYE Week.
