The Buffalo Bills entered Monday Night Football as road favorites against the New York Jets who were celebrating Aaron Rodgers’ regular season debut.
Unfortunately for the Jets, Rodgers went down on the first series of the game and was later ruled out for the remainder of the night.
Without Rodgers, most predicted an easy win for Buffalo though that ended up being far from the case as they struggled to move the ball against the stout New York defense.
Much was made about the Jets’ offense in the offseason, but their defense is arguably more impressive considering the players they have on that side of the field.
Josh Allen is widely considered to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but he had a rough night as he managed only 236 passing yards and threw three interceptions.
It was just one game but analysts like Willie Colon believe Allen’s regressing via The Carton Show.
“Josh Allen’s honestly regressing and I don’t think he’s a top 10 quarterback anymore,” Colon said.

The turnovers were uncharacteristic of Allen who has been better about taking care of the football the past couple of seasons, but that perhaps should be credit to the New York defense for pressuring him into poor decisions.
Allen did have some success running the football himself as he gained 36 yards on six attempts, though that wasn’t enough to get the Bills the win.
Week 1 is typically the toughest game for teams as they work themselves back into the swing of things, so it’s too early to say whether or not Allen’s gotten worse.
