After this game, Micah Parsons spoke out about the public criticism of Dak Prescott, which he believes is unfair based on his play this season.
While Prescott did receive a lot of negative media attention during the offseason, his 2023 performances have led to compelling results for the Cowboys.
In a recent segment of his show, Craig Carton called out Parsons for his statements on Prescott.
“Micah Parsons has been celebrated as the best defensive player in the sport,” Carton said, adding, “Nobody has ever been critical of his performance.”

Carton doesn’t see a reason for Parsons to be upset about Prescott, especially since the Cowboys have a winning record.
The Cowboys are one of the most discussed teams across national sports media, especially since they have been dubbed “America’s Team” for so many years.
Prescott and Parsons are two of the Cowboys’ best players and are naturally talked about alongside the team’s performances.
In Carton’s eyes, he believes Parsons should let his play do the talking rather than speaking out about criticism.
He also talked about using media attention as “fuel” that Parsons and the Cowboys can add to their fire.
Under Prescott’s leadership, the Cowboys have made it to the playoffs in three of the past five years.
Until he takes them on a deep postseason run, the public criticism and conversation surrounding the Cowboys is likely to continue.
