It’s no surprise that at 2-11 following a losing streak that extended to eight games on Sunday in a 14-11 loss to the New Orleans Saints, New York Giants fans are getting frustrated and had hoped this season would have gone better.
To add salt to the wounds, a plane was seen flying over MetLife Stadium about 90 minutes before the loss, carrying a banner with the message, “Mr. Mara enough—plz fix this dumpster fire.”
In a recent episode of “3 And Out” with John Middlekauff, Middlekauff floated the theory that Giants owner John Mara paid for the stunt himself, saying, “Who in New York talks like that? My theory on this? John Mara paid for that. John Mara had that up there because it’s been well reported John Mara does not want to fire these guys.”

Middlekauff added that this plan would make it easier for Mara to twist the narrative and say that the fans are turning on him while also allowing him to pat himself on the back when the Giants are good again.
It’s certainly a fun theory, and Middlekauff is right in pointing out that New Yorkers do not talk like that.
If that banner had been written by a true New Yorker who was an angry Giants fan, it would likely contain a few expletives and definitely no “plz.”
What’s next for the Giants is anybody’s guess, but it could start with firing some people in the offseason to try to put out this dumpster fire.
