The Houston Rockets have been tied to Kevin Durant rumors for weeks, with numerous people saying they’d make a smart trade partner for the Phoenix Suns.
With a potential Durant trade allegedly on the horizon, talk about him moving to Houston is only getting louder.
Writing on X, analyst Jake Weinbach proposed a trade between the two teams.
Weinbach said that the Rockets could receive Durant and the No. 29 overall draft pick from Phoenix.
On the other end, the Suns would acquire Dillon Brooks, Jabari Smith Jr., Jock Landale, Aaron Holiday, the No. 10 overall pick, and 2029 first-round swap rights.
Rockets-Suns trade proposal:
• Rockets acquire Kevin Durant, No. 29 overall pick (via CLE from PHX)
• Suns receive Dillon Brooks, Jabari Smith Jr., Jock Landale, Aaron Holiday, No. 10 overall pick (via PHX from HOU), 2029 first-round swap rights (via PHX from HOU)

This lines up fairly well and looks like the sort of trade that both sides could agree to.
It would give the Suns a few talented, young stars, as well as draft picks.
Over the last few years, they have depleted their picks and don’t have much to work with, but this trade would slightly change that.
Durant coming to Houston might provide a big upside for the Rockets.
He could be the missing piece that takes them to the next level and allows them to dominate in the regular season, but not fade away in the playoffs.
The Suns are reportedly looking to trade Durant before the upcoming NBA draft, which means they are likely considering all of their potential moves right now.
There is a good chance this moves quickly, and Durant could be packing his bags within a week or two.
NBA followers can expect to see more proposed trades like this one because everyone is trying to figure out where Durant can go and what makes the most sense for the Suns.
