The Chicago Bears have the No. 1 pick and a potential generational talent to take.
The only problem is that they also happen to have a young and promising starting quarterback on the team.
That could be solved by moving that No. 1 pick to get multiple picks and revamping the roster around Fields, building the kind of offense that he needs to thrive.
Nonetheless, most fans and analysts agree that that’s not going to happen.
That includes Craig Carton.
In the latest edition of the Carton Show, he predicted that Caleb Williams would be the starter in Chicago, and went as far as to say that Justin Fields would never play another down at quarterback for them.
“Caleb Williams will be their starting quarterback. Justin Fields will never play another down of football as a quarterback for the Chicago Bears,” Carton said.

He stated that they could use him as a slot receiver, which is something he’s been campaigning for for quite a while now.
Fields has the second-most losses by a quarterback since 2021.
Then again, to be fair, the Bears have done him a disservice, as they’ve been reluctant to use him to the best of his abilities.
Now, Fields’ trade value is very little.
They’ll have to make a decision, as keeping both him and Williams around might only end up hurting both of them, so they must either give Fields up for a subpar return, or get a massive haul for their No. 1 pick.
