Tom Brady’s first year as an NFL analyst has been met with mixed reviews.
Some haven’t enjoyed his input much, while others still believe he will improve over time.
However, David Sampson doesn’t think he will be there long enough to do so.
The former Miami Marlins president talked to Dan Le Batard about Brady’s current situation, and he doesn’t think he’ll stay there for much longer.
In the latest edition of “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz,” Sampson claimed that Brady would leave his broadcasting job after this season to take a hands-on approach with the Las Vegas Raiders:
“Tom Brady is running that team and the NFL knows it and Fox knows it and something has got to give. So enjoy Tom in the booth because you’re not going to see him there next year,” Sampson said.

Truth be told, that’s not a far-fetched thought.
Brady recently became a minority owner of the Raiders.
While the early reports claimed he wouldn’t have much say in the day-to-day operations, that might not be the case.
Brady reportedly contacted his former head coach, Bill Belichick, about potentially replacing Antonio Pierce in Sin City, so he seems likely to be active in recruiting and decision-making.
FOX signed the legendary quarterback to a very lucrative ten-year deal, but it shouldn’t be a problem to part ways with him if he chooses to do so.
His status as a team owner puts him in an awkward position.
He’s not allowed to attend production meetings, be in other teams’ facilities, or criticize officiating.
On top of that, Greg Olsen gained a big following, and he would be a suitable replacement again on the main broadcast team if Brady leaves.
