The Baltimore Ravens had drawn plenty of criticism for their inability to establish a solid passing game.
On top of replacing Greg Roman with Todd Monken, they made some major additions in the offseason to put those woes behind them.
Of course, everybody talked about how Odell Beckham Jr. could have an immediate impact on the offense, but it’s been rookie WR Zay Flowers as the one player who has stolen all the headlines.
That’s why Craig Carton and Greg Jennings raved about his impact so early in his career, talking about how he’s able to make special plays when he gets the football and how much he’s risen to the occasion now that OBJ has had to miss time with an injury.
"Zay Flowers is a difference maker. He is an All-Pro level wide receiver as a rookie."

There were some doubts about Flowers’ ability to dominate in the league in the same way he did during his days at Boston College, not because of his talents but due to his size and physicality — or lack thereof.
Of course, OBJ, Mark Andrews, and Rashod Bateman are still expected to play significant roles in this offense going forward, but Flowers has already proven that he can handle WR1 duties if need be.
The Ravens entered the season with Super Bowl expectations, and while we haven’t seen them at their best just yet, mostly because of yet another string of injuries, they’ve shown glimpses of great play.
They have a superstar in the making lining up out of the slot, and the best part is that he’s just getting started.
