The Indianapolis Colts are in a complicated spot right now.
They’re 4-4, and their postseason hopes are pretty much alive.
They could even get hot and end up challenging the Houston Texans for the top spot in the division.
However, they might need to bench Anthony Richardson to do so.
The second-year pro has one of the worst completion percentages for a starter in NFL history (44.4%) so far this season.
His decision-making has left a lot to be desired, and he’s missing his receivers by multiple yards.
That’s why NFL analyst Ryen Russillo believes he’s actually the worst starting quarterback in the league right now.
Talking on FanDuel TV, he stated that he didn’t know how someone could make a case for Richardson to be a starter.

He pointed out that he’s missing some of his throws by ten yards, and it’s happening often.
He also remembered that Richardson was 2-for-15 in the first half of his last game.
Richardson’s athleticism and physical traits are historically remarkable.
He was always expected to be a project, especially with his lack of experience as a starter in college.
Then again, as much as he could wow people with his 60-yard throws or whatnot, he’s clearly not ready to play at the pro level.
The Colts risk wasting their season by giving him more reps.
He could benefit from more time on the sidelines, but if they truly believe he can be the future of the franchise, they must let him grow through his mistakes, as ugly as it might look.
