The New England Patriots just hired their new head coach.
They got a proven veteran with Mike Vrabel, replacing an underperforming Jerod Mayo after just one year.
However, he will need some help to fix their offense as well.
With that in mind, former NFL player Ross Tucker argued that he should go after Josh McDaniels.
In the latest edition of his podcast, Tucker argued that no one seemed to be in a rush to hire McDaniels to be a head coach again, so he should bring him back to Foxboro for another stint there as offensive coordinator.
“I don't think anybody's going to hire Josh McDaniels a third time to be a head coach. So that would be the perfect OC hire for Vrabel.”@RossTuckerNFL explains why:@LabattUSA #ad MSG 21+ pic.twitter.com/1ux3128IXG

He’s familiar with the organization and their tradition, and while he has never done a good job as a head coach, it’s hard to argue that he’s done a much better job with the Patriots’ offense than most of his successors.
The Patriots will have a promising quarterback to build around in Drake Maye and plenty of money to throw around to fix their atrocious offensive line and add more talent around him.
Coach Vrabel looks like the perfect guy to take this team back to the mountaintop after years of mediocrity in the final stretch of Bill Belichick’s tenure.
He will hold everybody accountable and make sure to revert the franchise back to the winning habits that made them the team to beat for the better part of two decades.
And if McDaniels is looking to get back to coaching, he could be an ideal sidekick for him.
