The New York Jets have had an outstanding offseason thus far.
They improved their backup quarterback situation by signing Tyrod Taylor, added a couple of interesting pieces to their defense, and even signed the ultimate low-risk/high-reward guy in Mike Williams.
On top of that, they added a late bloomer at guard in John Simpson, and revamped the offensive line by signing eight-time Pro Bowler Tyron Smith to be their next left tackle.
Needless to say, that’s All Aaron Rodgers could ask for.
He’s going to be back to full strength, and will finally have an elite player protecting his blind side, which was a major issue for this team for years now.
That’s why NFL analyst — and well-known Jets fan — Craig Carton believes oddsmakers are wrong when talking about the Jets.
“On paper, the New York Jets really should be the team to beat,” Carton said.

Truth be told, he might have a point when it comes to the division, but the Kansas City Chiefs will continue to be the team to beat until proven otherwise.
The Jets and their fans have plenty of reasons to get their hopes up after this offseason and they still have the No. 10 pick in the draft.
Then again, we’ve already seen what has happened in the past, so perhaps they will be cautious before thinking about Super Bowl parades and whatnot.
