The Detroit Lions continue to put on a show on offense.
Ben Johnson’s creativity seemingly knows no limits.
That was on full display again in the win over the Chicago Bears.
That’s why Emmanuel Acho didn’t hesitate to call Johnson the best offensive coordinator in all of football.
He dissected the ‘fake fumble’ play the Lions ran, leading to a touchdown grab by star TE Sam LaPorta.
Talking on “The Facility,” Acho stated that it wasn’t just about imagination or execution but about attention to detail.

He showed how the entire offensive line yelled ‘fumble’ and how Jared Goff and Jahmyr Gibbs perfectly sold the play.
Notably, this isn’t the only time the Lions have ran a creative play out of their book.
It seems like Ben Johnson is willing to try absolutely everything.
Of course, this also speaks volumes about his confidence in his personnel, and their execution also deserves credit.
Johnson is expected to be among the most sought-after figures in the league in the next hiring cycle.
He already passed on a head coaching position last season because he reportedly had unfinished business in Detroit.
Now, regardless of how things play out for Dan Campbell’s team, it’s more than evident that he deserves a chance to run his own show.
