The NFL trade deadline came and went on Tuesday, but not before a flurry of moves that changed the course of many teams around the league.
The main character of the day was the New York Jets, who got three first-round picks and a second-rounder by sending Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams to greener pastures, but there’s another team that one analyst believes was the biggest winner of the day.
While speaking on Mad Dog Sports Radio on Wednesday, analyst Adam Schein spoke about how big a fan he is of what an NFC West contender did on Tuesday.
“If you’re doing a ranking of the biggest winner at the trade deadline. It’s the Seattle Seahawks,” Schein said.

The Seahawks made a sneaky move at the deadline by dealing for New Orleans Saints receiver Rashid Shaheed in exchange for a fourth and a fifth-round pick, bringing one of the league’s most explosive deep threats to the northwest to give Sam Darnold another weapon.
Wide receiver wasn’t a major need for the Seahawks, given how dominant Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been and how the team ranks fifth in the league in scoring, just under 29 points per game, but for the price, this was a strong move.
Shaheed has 44 catches for 499 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but his yards per catch have been down this season due to New Orleans’ lackluster offense.
Darnold will have no problem giving Shaheed a steady diet of deep passes, so it will be interesting to see how the coaching staff incorporates this new weapon into the offense.
The Seahawks have every chance to truly go for it and make it to the Super Bowl, and this is the type of all-in move the front office would make if it believed the team has a real chance of bringing home some hardware.
