The Denver Broncos are likely going to be examined under a large microscope during the 2023 NFL season.
Russell Wilson was signed to a massive contract before 2022, which didn’t exactly yield the results the team was looking for.
After bringing in Sean Payton, however, the team appears to have the pieces in place to make a massive improvement.
In a recent episode of NFL Total Access on the NFL Network, David Carr pointed to Jerry Jeudy as his favorite breakout candidate this season.

“Sean Payton is a phenomenal play caller, and he’s going to do a great job,” Carr said.
He also said, “Jerry Jeudy wants the football, he can win, he’s a great player.”
Jeudy was a first-round pick in 2020, but his ceiling has been capped by mediocre quarterback play in the NFL.
Even though Wilson had a less-than-ideal season in 2022, Jeudy still had 67 receptions for 972 yards and six touchdowns.
Carr believes that with a combination of Payton’s play-calling, Wilson’s passing abilities, and Jeudy’s athleticism, their offense can reach new heights this season.
If that happens, this will be a great success story for the Broncos, who finished 2022 with a 5-12 record.
This put them at the bottom of the AFC West, a division that was dominated by the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs.
The Broncos defense was one of the league’s best last season, but their offense was largely lackluster.
If they stay strong, and the offense can click the way Carr expects, what is the ceiling for this Broncos team?
