The Kansas City Chiefs were able to win the Super Bowl last season without the help of a high-caliber running back.
Since the emergence of Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have implemented a pass-heavy offense.
They did take Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, but he hasn’t panned out the way they hoped.
Instead, the Chiefs have turned to other backs to get the job done, including 2022 seventh-round rookie, Isiah Pacheco.
Their fanbase has taken a liking to Pacheco, especially due to the effort he puts in during each play.
It appears Pacheco is slated to be the team’s RB1 this season.
In a recent podcast appearance via CBS Sports Network, Adam Schein said, “Absolutely Isiah Pacheco’s gonna be a key component of the great success, once again, on offense for the Kansas City Chiefs.”
Can Isiah Pacheco be relied on as the lead RB for the Chiefs? @AdamSchein thinks so.

In his rookie campaign, Pacheco racked up 830 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.
He averaged 4.9 yards per carry, an elite mark in the NFL.
As Schein noted, Pacheco is slated to be a massive part of this offense moving forward.
Patrick Mahomes doesn’t care about player’s draft capital or where they went to college.
He has made mediocre receivers and running backs look very good throughout his time in Kansas City.
Since Edwards-Helaire didn’t get the job done, it’s Pacheco’s time for the Chiefs.
Can he provide consistent results in year two, further allowing Mahomes to establish the passing game?
If Schein’s comments and general fan response are any indication, Pacheco isn’t going anywhere, ready to run through a wall for this team.
