After a disastrous rookie season, Trevor Lawrence bounced back in a huge way as he was able to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Divisonal round of the 2022 NFL playoffs.
Lawrence bounced back from his lone season under former head coach Urban Meyer and looked more like a No. 1 overall pick.
Doug Pederson’s offensive scheme allowed for easier reads and throws for Lawrence which led to more confidence and growth.
Now heading into his third year, expectations are higher for Lawrence and the Jaguars as they’re projected to win the AFC South.
Jacksonville’s got the clear edge over the rest of their division, which leaves them well-positioned to get back to the postseason.
Lawrence appears to be on the rise to stardom and people like Mike Greenberg are predicting a huge year for the young signal caller and the Jaguars, via ESPN Radio.
“I could easily see a world…that team winds up 13-4 and Trevor Lawrence wins MVP,” Greenberg said.

MVP is a tall order for any player, especially for someone like Lawrence who still needs to prove that his 2022 campaign wasn’t a flash in the pan.
Although being named MVP seems far-fetched right now, Lawrence has the talent to uplift Jacksonville and carry them to victories.
As far as the team record goes, 13-4 is a high mark though not out of the realm of possibilities as the roster is full of exciting talent.
The team will go as far as Lawrence can take them, but if he manages to make another leap then the league could be looking at a sleeping giant.
