The Los Angeles Chargers are expected to be one of the most-improved teams in the league next season.
Hiring Jim Harbaugh has raised the bar significantly, especially considering the roster they have right now.
That’s why NFL analyst Craig Carton went as far as to predict that Harbaugh would win the Coach of the Year award in his first season with the team, adding that he wouldn’t be shocked if he also won the Super Bowl.
Talking on The Carton Show, Carton argued that Harbaugh is a proven winner who has won wherever he’s gone.
“Jim Harbaugh can win a Super Bowl in year 1. Jim Harbaugh will be the Coach of the Year in the NFL,” Carton said.

He also thinks that their defense should be much better than it was during the days under Brandon Staley, even though they have some holes to fill.
He also believes they need to pursue a running back in free agency, with Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs as strong candidates.
Carton argues that the AFC West will continue to be a tough division, especially with the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs still at the top.
Nonetheless, he has plenty of confidence in Harbaugh’s ability to turn things around for this organization once and for all.
Perhaps winning a Super Bowl in his first year in the league is a bit of a stretch, but what’s true is that the Chargers already have some legitimate stars and building blocks in place.
Add a winning coach to that mix, and this might finally be the year they get it done once and for all.
