Chris Broussard definitely turned some heads this week as he discussed the differences between NBA stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Victor Wembanyama.
The hosts of “First Things First” were discussing the recent NBA general manager poll and were talking about which player is best to start a franchise around.
Broussard believes that Antetokounmpo is the second-best player in the world but still thinks that Wembanyama would be his go-to player to build a team around.
“Wemby has so much more upside than Giannis,” Broussard said, saying that he’s a better three-point shooter, better free-throw shooter, and a better shot-blocker too.
"Giannis is the 2nd best player in the world but he's not a go-to guy. … Wemby has so much more upside than Giannis."

Broussard asked a big question: at the end of a game, would a team be smarter to turn to Antetokounmpo or Wembanyama?
While co-host Nick Wright argued that Antetokounmpo has been the player the Bucks have relied on again and again, Broussard stated that he isn’t a “go-to guy,” saying that it’s been Khris Middleton that the Bucks have leaned on.
This will be an interesting debate that will likely unfold in the months ahead.
Wembanyama clearly has a ton of hype surrounding him.
It shows that he really is viewed as a once-in-a-generation talent.
But will he be able to produce a lot in his first season and show that all the hype is worth it?
Both Antetokounmpo and Wembanyama will attempt to prove a lot this year and the analysts will be studying and comparing every single move.
